BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a co-owner at a creative branding agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Arch Web Design?

It was an extremely busy time for us. Although we had some in-house development capabilities, we needed help with a major project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our company created a new branded program for a nonprofit organization in Canada that targets youth awareness in the health sector. We started at a high level by building their brand strategy. One of the major plans we have for the end client is a web hub.

We’ve engaged Arch Web Design to help us develop that web portal.

What is the team composition?

I work with a project manager and 1–2 programmers.

How did you come to work with Arch Web Design?

We found Arch Web Design by searching online, and we corroborated them through our contacts. We chose them since they were a local agency, and we had great conversations with their owner and founder.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t do analytics, so I can’t provide any quantitative feedback. I know that the end customer receives arch Web Design’s development very well, and it’s pretty successful. It’s getting a lot of eyeballs.

How did Arch Web Design perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through email, phone calls, and Zoom meetings. We are using a QA tool that has been very effective.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Arch Web Design is a manageable-sized agency, and it’s great to have that kind of intimate interaction. We don’t feel like we’re just a number talking to an AI. Rather, there’s a real human connection between our teams — that has kept the project moving as smoothly as possible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We committed with the end user a timeline that, for various reasons, became a moving target. We kept adding new functionality and content without moving the deadline. We both could have done better by being more realistic with what can happen and being more upfront when we need more time and resources.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be upfront and specific with what your expectations are and how those tangibly translate. The more clear you are, the better the project will be. Work collaboratively to flesh out solutions.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I work as a contractor for a web3 blockchain technology start-up. I perform various tasks such as market research, website development, design, and more.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Arch Web Design, and what were your goals?

We hired Arch in order to build us a new website that would act as the face of our company and bring more awareness of our project to the greater blockchain/crypto community, and beyond.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew we wanted to use Webflow and saw that this is their specialty. We spoke with their founder, read some reviews, and liked what we heard so we decided to move forward with them on a retainer.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope of the project is our entire website, which includes our general home page, main content pages, a hub of research articles we have published, as well as other odds + ends. The designs for the site were done internally with our designer/prototyper and passed on to Arch for implementation and publishing.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We primarily interface with their founder (Rhami) but have worked with a handful of individuals at Arch who are primarily web developers and QA testers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's still a bit too early as we are still finalizing the long-term state of the website but so far we've been happy with the results and it's certainly an improvement over the old site. They are easy to work with, well-organized, and deliver beautiful websites to their customers.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Rhami and team are quick to respond to our various requests and changes. We handle most things via email with a few calls scattered when necessary. We've found this sufficient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think their knowledge of Webflow is what is most impressive. They know it in and out and are good at coming back to us with suggested changes on things we can do (or can't do) on this platform. They've also helped us optimize for SEO using various tips and tricks on the platform.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our group works at a fast pace including evenings and weekends. We'd like to increase the pace of our projects and are in open discussions with them on how to accomplish this.
