We hired Gr0 to help us in both onsite SEO and PPC. We noticed that there was a gap in our vertical when it came to SEO. A lot of our competition has overlooked this marketing channel and as a newbie entering a competitive market, this felt like I place we could start and own. We also wanted to own the first page on Google, so we needed a strong partner in PPC as well.

Gr0 was referred to us and we interviewed them along with 2 other agency partners that I have worked with in the past. It was their interesting SEO strategy that really had us intrigued, along with their price point. We are an early-stage startup so every penny counts!

We started with an onboarding call for both SEO and PPC where the Gr0 team came to us with a site audit they had done, along with competitive research. From there we discussed the lowest hanging fruit - keyword research on keywords we would go after, backlinking from all the press we were getting, and a sitemap which we didn't have.
Other items they help us with are creating blog content, running our PPC campaigns, shopping campaigns and most recently testing into Performance Max.

Since implementing PPC, we have successfully scaled our spend 124% while increasing the number of conversions by 131% and reducing cost/conversions by (3%). Since implementing SEO our organic traffic to site has increased by 28% with our CTR increasing by 39%. Plus the team is a delight to work with!

The team is incredible! I work with Michael and Tyler on the PPC side and they are awesome! Very knowledgable at all things PPC and do an incredible job at explaining everything they are executing on to me. Plus its fun to strategize with them!
On SEO I have the pleasure of working with LIz. First of all the girl is a hoot! Second she LOVES SEO and is extremely knowledgeable on the topic. It is not something I have a ton of background in, so she has been great at educating me along the way and I personally feel as though I can speak to the topic now!

Also, make sure that you have a clear understanding of what that’s worth so you can do your proper ROI calculation.

Because we’re an online consumer eCommerce business, our challenge was to reach people in the digital world and attracting them to share our proposition. As I’ve said we’re a supplement company that has made a scientific breakthrough product, so education is also a big challenge for us as well.

Effectively, GR0 is engaged to provide us with SEO services. There’s a whole repertoire of tactics that we employ, and one of them is around content creation. We have these pillars of content that help us provide information on the benefits of the products and attract more customers.
Another thing they do for us is backlink sourcing. They find relevant places on other websites that our content can be linked from, and they’re doing it through a variety of ways such as contacting publishers.
The third thing they do is help us with technical SEO to make sure that our site is as good as it needs to be from a coding perspective — they manage the markup structure of the pages, as well as the taxonomy of the website. Apart from that, they also provide us with keyword research, and progress reports. This helps us understand what’s going on, and also make decisions about what to do next.

We’ve been a customer of theirs for a couple of years and when we started, I worked with John (Co-Founder). At the moment, we’re working with two SEO specialists and one content producer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
If we’re looking at traffic from organic search, it’s relatively steady, and it’s been modestly growing since we’ve worked together. What we also see are bigger spikes than what we previously had for other tactics such as campaigns or promotions. Moreover, GR0 is fixing a problem where we’re ranked in terms that have nothing to do with our company. Right now, they’re slowly, but surely replacing those terms with ones that do matter and are relevant to us.
We’re basically getting rid of bad traffic and bringing in new traffic at a terrific level, as well as doubling our gross income and seeing good returns.
How did GR0 perform from a project management standpoint?
GR0’s project management is very slick. At the beginning of this year, we’ve doubled our volume of work and it took us about a month to catch up. In my view, that’s amazing because they’ve done a huge jump in output. They use Google Workspace, a tool called Motion, and we use Slack as our primary communication tool.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We like that they’re just really responsive. Culturally speaking, everyone is aligned no matter what they’ve got going on. In addition, I just feel like they always go the extra mile to get more work done, since we’re in different time zones. We’ll have a call in the morning and expect results a couple of hours later.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I believe reporting could do some improvement with regards to SEO.

In selecting an SEO vendor, you just need to be very conscious of how they would fit into your overall communication strategy. However, my advice for working specifically with GR0 is to make sure they’re disciplined, and that their deliverables are being delivered on time.
